Camping with The Mellanders

Well, that was indeed a long and busy weekend. A fun one too. On Saturday, Matt and I went down to DC and checked some stuff out. We visted the Iowa Jima and beautiful Koren War Memorial. We also checked out “Thunder Ally”, which was set up by the hundereds of biker Veterens that were roaming Washington all weekend. We ended the day with a visit to Jillians, were we drank and played video games all night!

On Sunday, we went to Six Flags America. The park wasn’t too crowded in the morning, so we were able to ride each coaster (several times) with no line. Our favorite was the Superman Ride of Steel, but we also enjoyed the Mind Eraser, Two-Face, Roar, The Wild Ride and several of the smaller rides. Lucky for us, the only time it rained during the day was while we were under a roof at the Batman stunt show. We were at the park from open to close, so it made for a very long day.

Yesterday, I drove into Annapolis, and visted a very nice World War II memorial they have, which overlooks the city and bay. I also enjoyed a nice walk aroundthe Naval Academy.

Now it’s time to get back to work.

Friday. At last it is Friday.

Yesterday at work, the hard drive went bad in the laptop they gave me. So I lost everything I had on there (which luckly wasn’t too much). I am also stuck using this big hunk of junk computer now. Actually, it’s not that bad, but I miss my the emails I had saved and all my bookmarks on my browser!! Life goes on though.

This should be a good weekend. My friend Matt is coming here tonight to stay for the weekend. Hopefully it does not rain too much. I think we’re gonna hit Six Flags sometime, and who knows what else.

Well, I heard from Matt that’s he definitly coming this weekend. He should be here Friday night. It should be a fun weekend. There is a lot of stuff down here I want him to check out, so that challenge might be deciding what not to do.

Last night we had a huge rain storm. Tornado warnings, flash flooding, the whole deal. It was a joy to drive home in. My normal half hour commute took over an hour!The weather is much better today, so that’s a big plus. It is supposed to rain all weekend, which would really suck. Let’s hope it holds back a bit.

Erin is going to Dallas to weekend. I still havn’t heard from Matt regarding his possible visit this weekend. I hope he makes it.
