Micah is currently off on his honeymoon, so I will post an update.
What can I say. The wedding on Saturday was amazing. It was a beautiful affair. Everyone, (especially Erin who looked absolutely radiant!) looked great in their dresses and tuxes. The church was wonderfully appointed with flowers, done by Erin’s Grandmother. Everything went pretty smoothly and Father Tom and Rev. Cowley (Micah’s Grandfather) did a terrific job with the service.
The reception was very cool. I have said several times since Saturday, that if you didn’t have a good time there, it was your own fault. The Binghamton Club was a very classy place to hold this event, and certainly made everyone feel very special. The staff at the club is to be lauded on their professionalism and did a fantastic job. I don’t think anyone wanted for anything, their service was superb. Again, the rooms were appointed in flowers by Erin’s Grandmother. They really did an amazing job of tying the wedding colors altogether. The food was terrific. I don’t know if I have ever seen a steamship round of beef as big as the one the chef was craving. Louie G did a great job as the DJ, Master of Ceremonies. He pronounced everyone’s name right! He kept everything moving along at the right pace, and provided the appropriate tunes and did a good job getting everyone into the spirit of the day. As I said in the first sentence of this paragraph, if you where there and didn’t have a good time, it was your own fault. I know that I had a GREAT time.
Having raised only boys and not having been blessed with a daughter prior to this, I want to say to Erin, you are a most welcome addition to our family. I am proud to call you my daughter-in-law and hope that you and Micah will have many wonderful years together.
