Christmas weekend has come to an end, and it’s back to work for me. At least until Thursday, when I will start another three day weekend. So, I can’t complain too much about a three day work week.
Christmas was great! On Christmas Eve, Erin and I went to my parents house for dinner with my parents, Josh and Grandma & Grandpa Mellander. After that we all went to church together. Josh and I ended the night with a few drinks at Kelly’s.
Christmas morning, Erin and I returned to my parents house to open gifts. We got tons of great stuff, and we thank you all for them. I got a new hard drive for my dinosaur of a PC (which I installed last night). It will help me suffer with that beast for a while longer!
After opening gifts there, we went home and Erin’s family all came over. It was nice this year because her brother Chris, his wife Heather and our niece Clara were all in town from Dallas. Her Mom and Dad were there, as well as her Grandma, her sister Kelly and her husband Steve. We got another ton of great gifts from them. Thank you to them as well!
Once that was done, we kicked it into high gear to get ready for dinner. We had 16 people over to the house for dinner. Meals like that are alot of work, but it is really nice having a big group together like that for the holidays. After diner, Erin and I relaxed for awhile, before my friend Matt and his brother Chris came over to hang out for awhile. Matt was in town from Virginia.
So all in all, it was a very long day, but a fun day. We got lots of gifts and got to spend lots of time with family and friends.
On Sunday, I went to a Senators hockey game with Josh, where Binghamton romped Albany, 6-2.
We don’t have our New Years Eve plans nailed down yet, but we are trying to figure out something to do.
I will try and post some photos on here soon from the past weekend.
