Camping with The Mellanders

It’s official. Erin’s c-section is scheduled for early Monday morning!!

It’s nice knowing that it is finally going to happen, but at the same time, it’s hard to believe!

So..stay tuned for the official birth announcement and photos on Monday. Then mellander.com turns into baby central.

Well, yesterday was a crazy day. Erin and I went in for her ultrasound at 9am. Everything looked good, so we then headed upstairs for her appointment with the doctor. Well…let’s just say that we did not get home till after 3pm!

During the appointment we learned that Erin continues to show signs of preeclampsia. The doctor decided to go ahead and do an amnio to see how the babies lung development is, and if its okay, to go ahead and do the c-section the next morning. So, she got the amnio, had to go back on the monitors for awhile then we got to go home. Unfortunatley, after all that, the amnio results showed they were not mature enough yet to be delivered.

So..they will be doing it all over again on Monday…an amnio in the morning with a possible c-section that afternoon.

We did learn from the ultrasound that both babies are now an estimated 6lbs. 5oz. They are gonna be big for twins!
