Camping with The Mellanders

Spring decided to show up late this year. It has been raining hard for two days now, and its now flooding everywhere around here. There is a state of emergency here in Broome County, and they already evacuated parts of Endwell near the river. They are even closing the highways in areas because of the water laying on it.

My basement is collecting a nice amount of water. Stinks though since there is nothing you can do but watch it happen. There is just nowhere for the water to go.

The rain is supposed to let up tomorrow. Hopefully things will settle down a little then.

This weekend, N and L went on a four day tour of PA, where they met both sets of Great Grandparents, two of their aunts, an uncle and a bunch of cousins.

On Thursday, Erin and I headed to Warren, PA to visit with Grandpa and Grandma Mellander. On Friday morning, my parents and Josh arrived, and we were able to get a photo of 4 generations of Mellander men.

We then headed to North East, PA to visit Grandpa and Grandma Cowley. While we were there, Josh caught a nice fish (photo to come!).

On Saturday, we all left for Pittsburgh. We went downtown, had lunch at Primanti Brothers in Market Square, and then walked around Point Park and checked out the Art Festival.

We then headed to my cousin Anna’s graduation party in North Huntingdon, PA. We had a lot of fun seeing our aunts and hanging out with our cousins Joe, Nick, Morry and Anna.

This morning we left for the long trip home. It was a long, but fun weekend, and we were glad to everyone got to see the boys in person!
