Just got back from our weekend in NJ. We headed down Saturday morning, and before the show, we decided to make a visit to Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash in Red Bank, NJ. We’ve been there before, but its been a few years. I picked up a fun Silent Bob bobblehead and got to meet Walt “Tell ‘em Steve Dave” Flannigan. We also went and checked out the Quick Stop in Leonardo (from the movie Clerks), something I’ve never done before. It was pretty cool to go in the store. It’s really small. RST Video next door is closed now, but the sign is still there, so I got my photo op.

We then headed over to the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel for the Opie & Anthony Traveling Virus Show. The parking lot scene was fun, and then once inside, they have the “O&A Village” set up, with free carnival games, music, a side show act and the “Petting Zoo”, which featuring the various “freaks” often heard of the show, standing in a pen with straw. Jim Norton was there signing copies of his book and Mic Foley was there signing autographs as well.
The show itself started at 7pm and the laughter was pretty much non stop for the next three hours. All the comedians were great (minus the first guy who won a slot of the show the day before and was boo’d off the stage) My favorites were Bob Kelly, Patrice Oneal, Louis C.K. and Louis Black. Bob Saget was funny, but probably our least favorite. His “shocking” act seem a bit too forced. But it was awesome to see a bunch of my favorites comics all in one show.
A great show and a great weekend. I hope they have it again next year because I will defiantly go again.
