Relay for LifeErin and I will once again be participating in the Greater Binghamton Relay for Life, supporting the American Cancer Society. The event takes places on June 20th, 2008.

Relay For Life ® is about celebration, remembrance, and hope. By participating, I am honoring cancer survivors, paying tribute to the lives we’ve lost to the disease, and raising money to help fight it.

I will be walking in memory of my late Grandfather, Rev. Richard Cowley, who lost his battle with cancer in 2006.

Please help support us in this important cause by making a donation. You can make a secure, tax-deductible donation online using the link below.

Whatever you can give will help – it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on our progress.

To celebrate the boys birthday, we had a birthday party with family and friends at Highland Park on Saturday. For the boys actual birthday on Thursday, we took them to Chuck E. Cheese. It was our first trip there with the boys. They absolutely loved it. It was a challenge to pull them away from the games and rides to get them to eat. It did get exhausting after awhile chasing them around the place, but I’m glad they had a fun. They were very excited the see Chuck E. Cheese.

The party on Saturday was a lot of fun. The weather held out, so having it outside at the park was nice. We had lots of great food and cake, all made by Erin. She always does such a great job. The boys got tons of great presents, including their first bikes (and helmets), a cool sand/water activity table, bubble lawnmowers (for training), a Thomas playhouse and more.

Here some photos from the party.

The boys turn 2 today. Happy Birthday!

It’s really hard to believe it’s been two years already, and at the same time, it’s hard to remember them not being in our lives. While being parents of twins is not easy, we are really blessed. The boys are such sweet, kind, smart and fun kids. It’s amazing to watch them grow up, to see them learn new things, to hear them say new words, and to watch how they interact with each other. It’s truly rewarding.

Since we are having a family get together for their birthday on Saturday, we decided we would take them to Chuck E. Cheese tonight, just as something special to do. They are having a birthday party at day care however, and Erin made an amazing looking Go! Diego, Go! cake.
