Camping with The Mellanders is maintained by Micah Mellander and his family.
Micah purchased the mellander.com domain name while in college, registering thie domain all the way back in September of 1999. The site has gone through many phases and changes, but the main focus was always been whats going on in my life. Popular topics include my kids and my family as well as cool things I find online. In August of 2010, I decided to change the focus towards car camping trips I went on with friends and family and reviews of the campsites I visited.
We live in Endwell, NY, which is part of what they like to call “Greater Binghamton” in Upstate NY. I grew up in Endicott, NY which is right next door to Endwell. In 1998 I moved to Pittsburgh to start school at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. In 2001, I moved to the Washington DC area (Maryland and then Virginia) with my wife Erin. While living there, I worked as a web developer for Demosphere International. After living there for three years, we decided we missed our friends and family back in NY and decided to move back.
I currently work for a large school photography company, but still do freelance web design under the name EndicottOnline.com. When I’m not working, I like to go fishing or travel with my wife (non-camping trips!). Erin & I are the proud parents of twin boys.
