Visions Walk It Off Against Cory’s!

Visions took Tuesday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Cory’s at Murphy Field. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the sixth when Lukas M grounded out, bringing in Sincere for the winning run.

Visions were the first to get on the board in the second when Evan L singled, scoring two runs.

Cory’s took the lead in the top of the third. Zach D singled, scoring three runs, to give Cory’s the lead, 3-2.

Alex H singled to the left side of the infield, which helped Visions tie the game at three in the bottom of the fifth.

Javien O stepped on the bump first for Visions. The starter allowed three hits and three runs over three innings, striking out eight and walking six. Zach began the game for Cory’s. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and two runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three. Andrew R threw three innings of shutout ball for Visions FCU in relief. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit, striking out nine and walking none.

Evan L led Visions with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Andrew, Evan, and Alex each collected one hit for Visions FCU. Malikai M paced Visions FCU with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game.

Zach provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Cory’s with three runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Malcom R went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cory’s in hits. They worked the count all night, collecting six walks.

Vision will face Dick’s Sporting Goods in the Wildcard playoff game on Wednesday at 6:45pm.
