Visions Defeats DSG In First Win

Visions were triumphant over Dick’s Sporting Goods 5-2 on Thursday.

Dick’s got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Nicolas G tripled, and , each scoring one run.

Visions flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 5-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Javien O on a 3-0 count that drove in two.

Jack C threw two and two-thirds innings of shutout ball for Visions in relief. He allowed just one hit, striking out five and walking eight.

Jack and Javien were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Visions FCU. Max M, Evan L, Lukas M and Evan L all hit singles. Milan S led Visions FCU with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up 10 walks for the game.

Nicolas led Dick’s with one run batted in. The third baseman went 2-for-2 on the day. Dick’s worked the count all day, piling up eight walks.

Next up for Visions FCU is a game at Alpine Metal Roofing on Saturday.

Visions Come Up Short Against Cory’s

Visions FCU could not keep pace with Cory’s Tax Service 5-0 on Wednesday at Logan Field.

Cory’s were the first to get on the board in the first when one run scored on another play. They extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Dom E and Malcom R.

Andrew R, Evan L, Lukas M, and Alex H each collected one hit for Visions. Evan stole two bases.

Cory’s tallied 10 hits in the game. Dom went 3-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Malcom collected two hits in three at bats. Dom and Malcom each stole multiple bases. Cory’s ran wild on the base paths, collecting seven stolen bases for the game.

Competitive Game Ends In Walkoff

A walk-off left Visions on the wrong end of a 7-6 defeat to Broome County Sheriff on Monday at Murphy Field. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the sixth when Jackson B. singled, scoring one run.

Broome County Sheriff were the first to get on the board in the third when Abel G. singled, scoring one run. Visions took the lead, 4-1, in the top of the fourth thanks to singles by Killian J., and Evan L..

Broome County Sheriff took the lead, 6-4, in the bottom of the fifth thanks to singles by Abel, Vincent B., and Kayden K.. Visions tied the game up in the top of the sixth thanks to two singles.

Killian provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Visions with three runs batted in. Killian went 2-for-3 on the day. Evan and Killian each collected two hits for Visions.

Broome County Sheriff tallied 15 hits in the game. Vincent and Jackson each collected three hits. Kayden and Abel each drove in two runs. They had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Messiah T. and Talan O. led the team with two bases on balls each.

First-Inning Burst Leads Dick’s Past Visions

Dick’s Sporting Goods scored six runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Visions 10-2 on Wednesday at Logan Field.

Dick’s jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Hunter D. singled, scoring one run, Owen G. singled, scoring one run, Messiah P. doubled, scoring two runs, and Christopher R. singled, scoring two runs. Dick’s added two runs in the second after Nicolas G. doubled.

Max M., Andrew R., Evan L., Lukas M., Jack C., and Javien O. each collected one hit for Visions. Jack and Javien each drove in one run.

Dick’s .piled up 11 hits in the game. Nicolas, Trenton D., and Jacob K. each collected two hits for Dick’s. Nicolas, Trenton, Messiah, and Christopher each drove in two runs. Messiah led Dick’s with two walks.

Fast Start Leads Alpine Metal Roofing Past Visions

Alpine Metal Roofing defeated Visions FCU 9-3 on Monday at Logan Field thanks in part to five runs in the first inning.

Alpine jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Evan K singled, scoring one run, David Z tripled, scoring two runs, Rhyan H grounded out, scoring one run, and Seamus G tripled, scoring one run.

Alpine added one run in the second. Timothy R singled, making the score 6-0.

A single by David extended the Alpine lead to 7-0 in the top of the third inning.

Visions scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth on an inside-the-park home run by Andrew R.

Andrew drove the middle of the lineup, leading Visions with three runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Jack C led Visions with two hits in two at bats.

Alpine accumulated 10 hits in the game. David provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Alpine with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-2 on the day. Alpine had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game.

Visions FCU With Tough Game Against Dick’s

Visions FCU couldn’t keep up with Dick’s Sporting Goods and fell 11-5 on Sunday at Glendale park.

Dick’s opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two doubles. DSG first got on the board when Nicolas G doubled, scoring one run.

Visions FCU took the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the fourth thanks to singles by Killian J., and Jack C.

DSG flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Hunter D that drove in two.

Andrew R. pitched three innings in relief for Visions. The pitcher surrendered three hits and five runs while striking out seven and walking four. Killian relieved Andrew and allowed four hits and six runs over two and one-third innings, striking out four and walking four. Evan O. stepped on the mound first for Dick’s Sporting Goods. The starter gave up two hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none.

Jack went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Visions in hits. Alex H. and Killian each drove in two runs for Visions. Javien O paced with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating eight walks for the game.

Jacob K. led Dick’s with three hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. DSG had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Evan and Trenton D. led the team with two bases on balls each. Hunter stole two bases. Dick’s turned one double play in the game.

Next up for Visions FCU is a game against Alpine Metal Roofing on Monday.

Opening Day Rained Out

After a week of beautiful weather, the rain decided to show up for Opening Day. Our game has been rescheduled to 4pm on Sunday, April 27th!

Visions FCU to scrimmage Cory’s

⚾ This Thursday, April 24th at 6PM, Visions FCU will take the field against Cory’s Tax Service in a friendly preseason scrimmage at Murphy Field. With Opening Day right around the corner on Saturday, April 26th, this is the perfect chance for players, coaches, and fans to shake off the winter dust and get back into the swing of things.
